If you attempt to abuse the Karma System, you will lose all of your Positive Karma. (by Andres)

Hello Folks,

A few moments ago I took my first action against a user attempting to manipulate the Karma System.

This particular user was sending private messages to other users requesting that they give them Positive Karma. As a result, I have removed all of this users Positive Karma, leaving them only with their Negative Karma (if any).

Needless to say, it does not pay to attempt to manipulate the Karma System as you will end up worse than when you started.

If anyone asks you to give them Karma, please report them immediately and I'll investigate it. If found guilty, they will immediately lose all of their Positive Karma.

Likewise, if a user offers you Positive Karma if you reply to them, report them and they too will lose all of their Positive Karma. If you go along with their "bribe", you risk losing all of your Positive Karma as well. Again, it's not worth it.

I need to be very strict in order to maintain the integrity of the Karma System and of each user's score.

Thanks!

Thank you. I've investigated that user and have confirmed that they were offering Positive Karma to solicit a response from users. I have removed all of that user's Positive Karma.

Folks, if you use the Karma System to "bribe" users to reply to you, you will lose all of your Positive Karma. It's not worth it.

Can I ask to have my Karma reset? I know I have no negative and one positive. I really don't want any karma. Lol.
