I think it would be pretty good idea to have the option to grant users positive or negative karma when they post on a thread. But maybe only if they are replying to your specific post or talking "at" you. Just a thought :-)

I dont think that would be a good idea. If they get to many negitives for posting there opinion that some dont like they would quit posting at all. The idea is to get people to post and give their ideas and not scare them away. And karma was made to get the serial harrassers out of our inboxes and let people know who were the bad apples.

Iam not sure if that would be such a good idea, cuz if somebody has a different opinion or view , doesnt mean he should have the right 2 give u bad Karma just for that ! And iam sure that would be the first thing people would do if they dont agree with what u had 2 say !

@loulou00: why ? Sure isent posting on a thread mostly about having differing opinions and the like so if you wanna give someone negative karma just for disagreeing with you well then thats just childish imo

I think the karma should stay in the inbox. Because then you see who to not talk to. Plus like what was already said, too much negative could cause some one to stop posting. We cannot always agree but we should not give or take karma over it.

@spacer: I totally agree with u. Suffice it to say, u and I probably don't agree on much. But does that give either of us the right to censor the other in any way? I think not...and I bet u agree with me lol

, I don't think it's a good idea .. Most Members will of course AGREE all the time to gain positive karma especially those who haven't much positive karma or those who have negative karma ( to even the points ) .

People holds different opinions on a certain subject , but it's how they worded things out that matter most .. A healthy debate is fun

That is also giving toooooo much power to the OP & commenters ..
