I grew up under Reagan,I miss the ideal that if we stand together we a invincible. That if you work hard and live responsibly and frugalagly, you could do well. I am pretty despondant and alpathetic with concerns to life and retirement in America. I love my country, dont get me wrong, just really concerned about where we are headed. Our leaders seem to be concerned about what everyone else is doing. They dont carw what we are doing, why shod we care what they are doing? Sad as it is,I want honest, uncensored opinions.

I fully agree with u there. I think its really messed up that the president's more worried about helping other countries instead of trying to fix the problems we face here. First thing I'd have done was bring our troops home pronto and get started on trying to get ride of our debt instead of trying so hard to stick our nose in places that dont concern us.

My friend, u won't get any argument from me. Reagan proposed a STRONG private sector....and it thrived from Bush No1 til halfway thru Clintons admin....then ol sly Bill decided to make banks give home loans to people that cudnt possibly pay them off...hence the beginning of our economic problems. And a helluva war on terror and u have economic disaster. And for u dems that blame Bush for it, let me remind u....Bush's last term was ruled by a Congress and Senate controlled by Dems....No one party is without fault.

Not putting blame on just one person. Its just that the problems should have been one of the first things taken care of....or at least try to fix it. Not arguing. Just stating my point of it. Problems made then, should have had solutions at least a couple of years ago.

thing is ya the war is down rite terrible but it does provide jobs yet spends massive amounts of money so it's win lose. But the govt is only out for money cause they are power thirsty and money greedy people idc what anyone sais they alll are! The only reason the US sticks there nose in everything is so they can monitor and gain massive funds for it. Our govt. Wants everywhere and everything to be a part of our so called great free country when really yes we're free but everything we do in our everyday lives is monitored. Literally everything

Glad to see some people have some sense. I have seen the same cause and effect at work in much of our lives.Remember when Reagan took officeThe Iranians had hostages that were our citizens, when they found out a crazy tv cowboy was coming into office they were like"damn!send them home!" I just want an electorate that really has OUR interests at heart. Just dont know what to do. Romney is no better than Obama. Any suggestions?

@nhguyinwoods: Gonna disagree a bit...Romney is no better economically....He is better on foreign policy. Or, at least he talks better abt it. Obama's "appease the masses" will never work. Extremists see this as a weakness. Oh, dems gloat abt the success against Bin Laden, but any pres wouldve called that one. Truth is, we're screwed, regardless....sad to say...
