Karma Scores are now public! View everyone's Karma Score, including your own! (by Andres)

As most of you know, the Karma System has been instrumental in reducing the amount of harassment via private messages by giving each of you the power to punish harassers, and by exposing serial harassers with a warning on their profile.
Up until now, everyone's Karma Score was kept a secret in order to keep the Karma System from getting gamed. Today, that has changed. Everyone's Karma Score is now public and appears next to their usernames in parenthesis. and you can view your own Karma Score on the "My Stats" page (accessible from the Home screen). Positive Karma Scores appear in green, Negative Karma Scores appear in red, and neutral (zero) Karma Scores appear in black.
We made this important change because we felt that knowing someone's total Karma would not only help identify crude and disrespectful users sooner, but also recognize friendly and respectful individuals as well. In that sense, the Karma System will now work very similar to the eBay feedback system that gives more "distinction" and "trust" to veteran users who have accumulated lots of Positive Karma. For example, a new user will always start with a Karma Score of 0, which tells you very little about how nice and respectful they are, but a veteran user with a Karma Score of +10 is most likely a very decent person, so you'd know they're definitely worth at least getting to know. Therefore, all things being equal, a user with a higher Karma Score will get more attention, thus further incentivizing users to always be respectful while rewarding long-time users that are genuinely nice to others.
However, to keep the Karma System from getting gamed now that's it's out in the open, we've had to limit its use to fully verified users. This means that you now must have both a Verified Pic and a Verified Phone in order to give someone any Karma. This will ensure only genuine users are influencing the Karma System, while keeping fake profiles from affecting anyone's scores. So if you have not fully verified your profile up until now, you have yet another incentive to do so. (You do not need to have a fully verified profile in order to receive Karma from a fully-verified user.)
To further reward our most reputable members, I have also created a new Search feature called "Top Karma" where you can view users sorted by Karma Scores from highest to lowest. This will give reputable members a lot more exposure on the site, and increase their chances of finding someone (or being found!), so let that be yet another incentive to be nice and respectful to other users.

i have had alot of karma give to me and my score is still 0! how is that possible shouldnt it carry over? i know i had at least 5 karma givin to me! could u help me out!?
