I would've been inclined to say no previously, but I know better now. I think the big thing with "meeting" someone online is that you fall for the person - their perfections and imperfections. Of course, this does rely on the fact that people are being truthful on the web, but you would face that same challenge in the real world.

@albhere: i asked this myself, until i found my lovely lady Shaz on the site, we text and have phone calls regulary and we plan to meet in January during my birthday, anyway the answer to your question in my view is yes, it does take time etc to develop the relationship but its worth it
