Jason Biggs/Nickelodeon Scandal. (by IrishLove1988)

I'm just curious as to where others stand on this issue. I'm not sure if you know who he is, but Jason Biggs is an actor from the *American Pie* series. He has always been outspoken, and free lipped. Recently, he took to Twitter with some off color (to the majority) remarks including a few perverted posts reffering to Romney and Ryan's wives. While usually this wouldn't be a HUGE deal, Nickelodeon has recently started promoting his Twitter account, since he will be the voice of Leonardo in the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. So, the world exploded and everyone is hating on Jason Biggs. I get that Nickelodeon shouldn't be promoting his account, since he is not the type of guy you would want your pre-teens hanging out with. But really? Freedom of speech, anyone? Be pis*ed at Nick for promoting the account, not at Biggs for voicing what ever the hell he wants, on his OWN PERSONAL Twitter page. Opinions? Thoughts? Comments?

@IrishLove1988: I agree, he has the freedom to say what he choices, but as a station aimed at 15 an under basically, Nick should in NO way spotlight his twitter account. Because he does say things that are NOT okay for younger eyes to see.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels that way! I thought I was losing my marbles lol It just makes me mad that everyone is attacking Jason for what he posts when really Nickelodeon should know better. This is a guy who had sex with a pie, and shoved an instrument up his a*s for a few laughs. People need to put the blame where it belongs, on the studio.

@IrishLove1988: truly, does it make what he says okay? not always, but it's his gosh darned right to say it. Nick should be ashamed exposing children to someone as perverted as him. But it also makes you wonder, why are parents letting their kids follow him on twitter to begin with? -okay that might be off point a little, it just made me wonder-

No, I think that's an appropriate question. Why ARE parents letting their younger children follow him? They have to know who he is, *American Pie* is old enough to have been exposed to them at some point. I don't think it makes what he said ok, but I do think that he has the right to say whatever he wants on a page that is his personal outlet.

@IrishLove1988: exactly! I mean, the first movie came out in 1999. That's long enough to know what kind of a person he is. AND if not, you live under a rock. But it does make you wonder: where are the parents putting their foots down and saying "H-E-L-L no"? (to give perspective in 1999 I was 9)

I have no problem with him if he did that...but people shudnt really go to celebs for their political advice either lol As far as I'm concerned, celebs are my jesters. Dance, sing, and entertain me when I want u to...other than that, I don't care abt ur personal opinions...and yea, he did f*ck a pie, so I'm not relying on his politcal knowledge anyway.

First, I would just like to say that when I think about ten years ago, I still think the 90's, not 2002 lol. But anyways...

Even if they hadn't seen the first movie, *American Reunion* just came out not too long ago. Unless they do infact live under a rock, they had to have seen the preveiws for it. That would give them SOME general idea about what kind of humor he is into. He's an adult male, and in this day and age, you have to assume that at some point he's going to say something that is inappropriate for the younguns.

@Ram: It wasn't just those comments that got everyone up in arms. He has a LOT of pervy things on his Twitter feed. And it wasn't so much political knowledge that he was sharing. Let's just say he was talking about the wives and putting digits in their *dirt stars* for lack of a better term lmao.
