Boyfriend wants me to stay at his parents house for a month

My boyfriend (25M) wants me (20F) to stay in VERY a small town three hours away from where we currently live with his parents for a month. This is both of our hometown. We are moving even further away from it (3 hours compared to five) in three months.
We have the option to live out our last month in our current city at our apartment or at his parents house. There is no price difference as the last months rent will have to be paid regardless of where we stay. I have two dogs who will have to be caged 80% of the time we?re at his parents, I don?t drive so I?ll be here with no transportation (this town is so small Ubers don?t even come) and I?m simply not comfortable sacrificing my personal space for an entire month. I?ve offered to compromise and stay two weeks, but that is not good enough.
To top it all off, I have a lot of past there that I?m not comfortable being around for an extended period of time. I?m not sure how to even explain it fully myself, but this area just brings really haunting memories for me. My parents were abusive, so I grew up in foster care, and my foster parents were just as abusive. They all live in this area. I made a lot of bad mistakes here, and I don?t want to submit myself for a month to it. I?ve truly made SO much progress mental health wise since moving. I feel as though this will be close to detrimental to me.
He just won?t compromise. He says that he moved to this city to be with me, so the least I can do is stay with his family for a month. I moved to this city before we began dating. When we got together he promised he would not slow any of my progress or try to change my plans, yet he throws these things in my face now.
TL;DR: No matter what boyfriend will not compromise staying with his parents for a month. I am very uncomfortable with the idea, and have offered to stay two weeks.
