My(22F) boyfriend(21M) sends me emails summarizing arguments we have had

we have been dating for about 15 months. we don't fight alot but we have had I think 4 major arguments? After we talked about it and sorted the issue out. He will mail a long email about what happened, why it happened, His Pov, My Pov and what we agreed on to do. I don't mind honestly. I think it has helped our relationship and I think one of the emails he send me is one of the sweetest thing anyone has ever send me.
It feels like documenting our fights and I don't know why he feels the need to do that? does he not think I am trustworthy? I don't flake and I know he is reliable. I have asked him about this and he deflected, apologized that it was a weird thing to do but to humor him. I don't know how to deal with this? is it a big deal? I don't want to talk people I know about this as I think they will find it weird and I don't think he wants anyone to know about it. It frustrates me why I can't get to the bottom of this.
TL;DR : My boyfriend writes me long emails after every big argument we have. I think it is sweet but I don't understand why he needs to do this and it is making me feel a bit self-conscious about our relationship
