Eli5: Why can you send money from a bank account to another bank account on any day of the week instantaneously but your wages can never get paid on a weekend?
Edit: what I'm meaning to get at is in my job for instance. I get paid on the 27th but if that falls on a weekend or Bank Holiday I get paid early. Why can't it be automated future payment like I can do if I pay someone?
