The real reason r/nosleep is going private for a week
I?m pretty sure by now everyone has seen the announcement.
For years writers have been posting the creepiest, nastiest, most gruesome stories on this Forum Section. Each writer has created their own world and some have even created their own creatures. You?ve read some of those stories, haven?t you? Now imagine if those creatures came to life in our realm. Imagine the chaos that would ensue. That?s not possible though, so why am I bringing it up? Because NoSleep isn?t a Forum Section, it?s a government project.
The government is testing a new type of technology that could potentially change the way wars are fought forever. They can extract certain attributes from your wonderfully detailed stories and print them into the real world. Writers of NoSleep are unintentionally creating next generation weapons by writing about creatures that are practically undefeatable. Think back to all the stories you have written. Now you?re going to experience them in real life. How do I know this? Because I saw a post I wasn?t meant to. I?m pretty sure it was a mods only post, but when I went back to check, it was gone. I?ll recount from memory what the post said. It was something like this:
I?m getting mod messages as I type this. I just got a call from an unknown number, and the person on the other end is telling me not to post this. The mod messages are getting more and more threatening:

The reasoning behind this (according to the mods) is due to people constantly stealing and plagiarising content from r/nosleep. It?s definitely a major issue and it needs to be resolved, however this Forum Section is going private because of a substantially more sinister reason.For years writers have been posting the creepiest, nastiest, most gruesome stories on this Forum Section. It has been creating entities on it?s own by taking them from parallel dimensions. This may be causing a dimensional imbalance that could cause our plane to collapse.
Some entities have already escaped out of the labs resulting in many of our security staff dying. If NoSleep stories continue to be posted, we will face major issues. We need time to compete with the entities before we decide where to go from here.
We will be closing down Nosleep for one week in order to repair our labs and eliminate the creatures. We will have to start fresh again. Everyone please report back to HQ. How can we close down the Forum Section without raising any suspicion?
