I [30f] found out during Christmas dinner that my husband [35m] got a $35,000 inheritance back in April.

During Christmas dinner last night my husbands cousin asked him what he did with his inheritance. My husband initially tried to play it off as an inheritance from before we were married, then an inheritance that he has yet to receive. Eventually he fessed up to receiving his inheritance back in April. When I ask where the money went, he says it’s all spent. When I ask what on, he is adamant that he spent these funds on household expenses, but I have scoured our account for any extra deposits, and nothing. All household expenses were made through this account.
I do believe he took four friends to a hockey game last spring. He told me his friend paid for their tickets, but I wondered even at that time how that particular friend could afford it, he’s never been good with money. I’m 99% sure my husband funded that trip, he denies it but also says he doesn’t know where it has all gone, and that household expenses have eaten it up.
He apparently cashed the check at the bank in his personal account and spent the cash over time. He has zero dollars left.
What the hell could he have spent 35,000 on since April? I mean what is that 8 months?
I’m honestly more ****** that he lied, we live pay check to pay check and have two small children. I’m concerned that he’s hiding other things now. No, I dont think he has a secret drug habit, I think he’s is a selfish ******* though.
TLDR: husband got inheritance and didn’t tell anyone. Spent it and got called out at Christmas.
