my neighbors are acting weird

this may all seem confusing, but please try to stay with me. some weird ass **** is going on.
i have 2 cats and one dog. one of my cats is a siamese, Nina, and the other is a bengal, Tati. my dog is a German shepherd, and his name is casper. both of my cats were gifts from my parents, well not really gifts.. my mom just had really bad allergies and got super sick of them, so she gave them to me. my dog on the other hand was a stray that I found on the side of the road. I know, I know I sound very dumb for picking up a stray, but he looked so desperate for a home. I had just started a new job so I had some money to take him to the vet and get him whatever shots he needed. he got all the core vaccine shots and the vet told me he was perfectly healthy, aside from malnutrition, so I took him home. the first thing I noticed was how well behaved he was. never fought with the cats, never barked at people who walked passed, and never pooped in the house. keep in mind when I first brought him home I was still staying with a roommate in a town home.
when I finally moved into my own home, on a sunny Wednesday this past summer, I felt like my life was finally on track. I had a new well paying job, my own home, and had finally gotten over my ex boyfriend. I felt like a new person. I live in a suburb thats relatively close to the capital of the state I live in. my neighborhood isn't the best, but definitely isn't the worst. I live in a pretty small home but its all I need for my furry friends and i. 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a pretty spacious living room, and a small kitchen. the house also has a basement, but its not finished so I never go down there. my neighbors are all normal, at least the ones I have met, but recently I have noticed something. the house right across from mine is odd. don't get me wrong its a lot nicer than my place, but something about it is just weird. I've never seen someone enter or leave the house, there are never cars in the driveway, and I have never seen anyone mow the lawn or plant flowers, yet every Monday theres a new set of daisies planted in the pots by the front door and the grass is always cut perfectly. something about the house just weirds me out.
The first night that we moved in everything seemed perfectly fine, aside from my pets and I getting used to the new atmosphere. the house across from me had beautiful yellow daises in the pots by their front door, and nicely cut grass. I took my dog for a walk, met a few neighbors, and admired my new neighborhood. I went to bed around 9 that night since I had work early in the morning. I fell asleep only to be woken up to a loud whining, from what sounded like my dog. I turned over and looked at my clock and read "3:13AM." keep in mind I am an extremely deep sleeper. I could set 20 alarms on full volume and I still would not wake up. the whining seemed distant, and it kept fading from a depressing whine to a demonic bark. I obviously began to panic, and I stayed in my bed waiting for it to fade. I assumed it was somebody else's dog. as all the doors were locked in my house, so there'd be no way for my dog to exit. I put on my noise cancelling head phones, still able to hear the whining and barking, but I managed to fall back asleep. I woke up, fed my pets, got ready, and went to work. I had pretty much forgotten about what had happened.
when I got home from work I made myself dinner, fed my pets, and then sat down to watch TV. I finished my dinner, turned off my TV, and went to bed around 11. the later I fall asleep, the deeper my sleep is. once again I wake up to the same whining and barking only to read my clock that says "3:13AM." I start to panic again, so I get up and wander my house looking for my dog. I found him fast asleep on his doggy bed. my two cats had been laying on the edge of my bed. I didn't have the balls to look outside as the whining continued so I ran back to my bed and fell asleep.
this happened over, and over, and over again. yesterday was the 4th night of this happening, a Sunday, I was getting ****** off. this time I finally got up and braced myself to look outside the windows, so I could hopefully see what the **** was making these weird ass noises. I pulled back the curtain but couldn't see far, as it was obviously pitch black outside. when I got closer to the windows the noise got louder. I was feeling ballsy because id had a few glasses of wine, so I decided to go outside. I don't know what the hell was going through my head. I grabbed my phone and turned on my flashlight. I proceeded to open the front door and walk a little ways away from my house. The noise seemed like it was coming from somewhere inches away from my ear. did none of my other neighbors hear this? am I going crazy? I began to panic so I ran inside. I took a few melatonin and passed out in my bed, when I woke I looked out my window. Everything was normal, but I noticed the neighbors had red daisies instead of the yellow ones they had when I moved in. I was confused, because all through the weekend when they had their yellow daises that I admired when I walked my dog I never saw them change the daisies outside. Sunday I left the curtains wide open all day and never saw any red daises. I am going to go to bed soon. Some weird **** is going on. I need to get to the bottom of this.
