I’m (31M) about to go out with a girl (27F) who is taller than me and I need logistical advice!

Hey Dating.mobi!
I’m 31 and just getting around to dating a woman taller than me. My whole life, I’ve been under the impression that the man has to be taller, period. However, I met this girl and we completely hit it off... but she’s about two inches taller than me. I know two inches doesn’t sound like a lot, but I’m usually a full head taller than my girlfriends!
I asked her out and she said yes, and I’m super excited about it. I’m a confident guy and I want to play it off like the height difference is no big deal (I don’t even plan to mention or joke about it), but I have to admit... the logistics of it all have me a little... anxious.
Dating.mobi, how should I handle:

  • Hugging? With shorter girls, I always go one arm over, one arm under the shoulder so our cheeks end up next to each other. Should I just hug around her waist?
  • Kissing? Do I just tilt my head up like a shorter girl would, or do I pull her head down?
  • Slow dancing? Shorter girls I usually pull in close so they can rest their head on my chest. Do I just... be the girl? Or do I not get as close and do the 1950s elbow distance spin?
  • Cuddling? If I’m big spoon and we are watching TV or a movie, I am staring at the back of her head. Do I just straight up little spoon it, do I avoid spooning and instead have her lean back on me while I sit up, or something else?
  • Any other tips?

Thank you!
TL;DR I’m about to go out with a taller woman for the first time and I’m wondering about logistics. I want to be smooth and confident and act like I’ve done it before, and most importantly, I want her to feel comfortable and confident too. Help!
