The waiter or waitress CONSTANTLY coming back and seeing if we need anything.
I realize they're just wanting to ensure that everything is going well (and hoping they get a good tip) but damn, I've had some showing up every few minutes. I can drink, but not that fast lol

Agreed. And although I've learnt that "art" the other thing the infuriates me, is the fact that people are on their phones while eating. Whether it's a couple, family, friends, mostly everyone is one an electronic device...
For freaks sake, communicate with one another

@FreakyGreekMalaka: I actually had been doing that without a thought until one time a friend of mine said, ''I will step on your phone. I am talking to you, stop being rude.''

My husband has started taking notice that I don't take out my phone much while we're eating and unknowingly fallen into the habit of not taking his out until he wants to show me a random video or something. It makes for much nicer conversation...and judging... cough! *people watching* lol

@semisweet:
Lol ha ha. Low key hint. Restaurateurs are some of the biggest judges around...
We need to know how to approach and interact with everyone...
For example, we can't treat a a young couple the same as a married couple or a group table etc.

But yea, it's scary to see how indulged a table are in their electronic devices.
I actually had a guy walk outlast night, because his date was constantly on her phone the whole time...
