Something similar happened to Arkansas back in the early 1900's. They weren't always called the Razorbacks. I think originally they were the Bears or the Black Bears until the announcer called them a bunch of wild hogs. Probably stole it from Bama

As far as why no big playoff system.....I've read that the people that run the bowls are stubborn and don't wanna risk losing that money, and are stuck on tradition. It's taken forever to even get to the previous BCS system, then to the 4 team playoff. Another year like this last one and I could see an expanded playoff. Really no reason to go past 8 teams though.

As far as the game, I had forgot how good Georgia's FG kicker is...could be the difference maker in this game.

I do agree that 8 teams would be the right amount of teams in the playoffs.

Georgia playing to win....Bama is just...well, Idk what they're doing.

Bama with the QB change and and a td then GA answers back with a bomb.

Side note...GA QB Jake Fromm played in the Little League World Series as a kid
