What do you do when you're feeling bitter, cynical, and stuck in your own head?

I've always tried to help other people by saying something that boils down to "just stop feeling negative", as if that's even remotely helpful. Now I'm the one jammed in this feedback loop and I can't snap out of it. It's mainly related to my career, and it's affecting my attitude at work.
Thanks in advance, I think hearing from fellow folks will probably help me stop fixating.
