Men who were terrible to partners in past relationships -- why? Did you recognize yourself as being such at the time? If not, how long did it take you to recognize that?
Just as the title states. Also, when you did recognize it did you take steps to change or make amends?
My question is more directed toward people who were cruel. Not particularly abusive just awful in other ways.
