I desperately want my own place but I'm weighed down by car payments and credit card debt and working for minimum wage lol. How did you manage?

The same way that's still available to 18 year olds....it's called the United States Marine Corps. Roof over your head (well, maybe not an ACTUAL roof all the time) and 3 meals a day provided.....and you get paid.
I hate hearing teenagers bltch about not being able to get out on their own

I was 17, got married, we both worked. Got us a little small place, nothing fancy.
