My [27F] husband [28M] may be fired from his job as a teacher. He used a students father (A murderer) as an example.I'm pregnant and I don't know what to do.

My husband is a ****ing idiot. I'm not going to deny that. I'm just as ****** off at him as his school is. He was out of line. There is no defending it. There is this student at his high school who's father was in the news. His father was arrested for murder and he's in jail. It's been a year since that all happened with his father. This kid was apparently talking to his girlfriend in my husbands class. It was a year 10 legal studies, and he used the kids dad as an example for a jail sentence. The kid apparently got up and walked out of class. His girlfriend and other friends in the class followed him. They went to the principal and my husband is facing losing his job.
I'm pregnant and we really can't afford a baby just on my money I'm getting from my leave. I don't know what to do.

tl;dr: I don't know what to do.

Isn't this student acting too touchy .. i mean it was a bit insensitive on your husband's part to cite his convicted father as an example but it was a legal study class and he didn't slander or falsely tried to defame him ?? What kind of a school would fire a teacher for doing his job ? I think a little one on one with an apology should have settled the matter .
Anyhow even if he gets fired i don't think it would reflect badly on his cv . He should move ahead and get another job .

I understand where the kid is coming from. I wouldn't want my families business aired in class even if everyone already kbew about it, as i am sure they did, that's nit the point. The teacher had no right to use a current students situation as an example, he deserves to be fired, they'd fire him here in Tennessee.

So am I reading this right? The teacher saw the kid talking to his GF during class, then used the kids father being a murderer as a spiteful response? COOOOOLD

Resign before they can fire him, get another job.
