My old standby....Rotel and Velveeta with some type of ground sausage folded in...usually something spicy.

Homemade anything is good. But a salsa with a slight kick to it is good.

Cream Cheese Taco Dip:
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning (or make your own!)
1lb Ground Beef (or Turkey)
1 (16 ounce) jar of your favorite salsa
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
1 large tomato
1⁄4 cup black olives
1 Large Onion, minced


Cook Beef with seasoning and onion.
In a large bowl, mix together sour cream, cream cheese, and beef mixture. Pour mixture into baking dish
Pour salsa on top of sour cream mix.
Sprinkle cheese on top of the salsa.
Hit at 350 until cheese is melted
Cut tomatoes up and scatter the olives over top
Serve with your favorite chips.

@brats52005: it is. it's a good base, you can spice it up or down. I like adding jalapenos to mine, some times I add a little bit of beans into the beef mixture lol

I dont make alot of dips but when I do I make a cream cheese dip with deviled chicken. I take 1 pkg cream cheese softened and 2 cans deviled chicken mix well.....Its so good I always double the recipe....you can substitute crab meat...and add scallion or green onion to either......dip townhouse crackers or.pretzel thins......yummy

Jim Beam and Copenhagen. Take 1/4 shot Beam, dump into can of Cope. Dip liberally from can as needed
