Have you ever gotten push back from a partner because a hobby you're into (especially nerdy ones)? H (by Sparky)

Have you ever gotten push back from a partner because a hobby you're into (especially nerdy ones)? How did you react/resolve that situation?

I'm always curious about how men navigate some of their geekier pursuits. I'm a firm believer that the media you consume is hardly your identity - just because you enjoy video games doesn't oblige you to wear gaming t-shirts 24/7 (though if you want to, go ahead). I also can't deny that while I love things like board games and video games, I'm always mildly self-conscious about bringing those interests up (luckily I do have plenty of interests outside of those activities). A part of me thinks that I shouldn't give a damn what anyone else things, but another part of me knows that people do make judgements and it's naive to ignore that reality. What do you guys think?
