How would you feel if someone you were dating did a background check on you out of curiosity?

Things such as; credit history, place of residence, criminal record ect. I work in information security and I wonder if it would upset you if your significant other admitted to doing this when you were dating?

I wouldn't really care, nothing in my past worth hiding

I've been to jail... A lot. But, I've never been to prison, im not a thief, or a woman beater, and I'm not a sex offender. So, I really wouldn't care.

Anyone can check anything they want, hell i would check it on them too if i wanted, i have before. I'm an open book, if i haven't told you something there's a reason why, ask me and i'll explain it though. I have no shame in nothing i do or who i am.

I'd be cautious to date them. That's freaking weird.
