PSA For Anyone Traveling To Baton Rouge LA Next Week (by MrWalkSoftly)

The long awaited results of the DOJ investigation into the police shooting of Alton Sterling are rumored to be released as early as May 1st.
The shooting on 7/5/16 of Sterling, a convicted felon and sex offender, sparked riots led by the Black Lives Matter movement and The New Black Panthers. The riots culminated with the ambush of 5 Baton Rouge police officers...killing 3 and wounding others, one of whom who is still fighting for his life.
The Obama administration's DOJ opened the investigation in July 2016 after pressure from several civil rights groups. For whatever reason, the results of the investigation have been delayed. One delay may be associated with the fact that a contentious presidential election was going on.
Locally rumored to be released in the results of the investigation is that Sterling had a firearm in his pocket that he was reaching for and the results of toxicology reports that former DOJ head Loretta Lynch had sat on.
The prevailing thought is that the officers will not be charged and the first BLM inspired protest and subsequent riots of 2017 will occur.
BLM has been quiet of late and it will have to wait and be seen if this sparks their comeback.
Regardless, anyone wanting to visit Baton Rouge next week should maybe rethink their plans.

Your azz would be in trouble if you were headed to B.R. and didn't stop to see me on the way

That would never happen. If I'm anywhere close to Louisiana you're seeing my sassy behind.
