'Real Christian' (by alynn)
Another thread asked if there were any 'real Christians' out there. I think the answer to that varies because a lot of people have different views on what a 'real Christian' is, or should be. So, what is YOUR definition of a 'real Christian'? And for all the deeply devoted Bible knowers, and folks who are familiar with the history of Christianity, perhaps you can offer some insight into what the original 'real Christian' was.
A true Christian Is a Person who accepts Jesus Christ As A Their Personal Savior And Believes That Jesus Christ Died For Our Sins And Redirected On The Third Day. Christians Always Remembers; Christian Is No At Religion But A Relationship With Jesus Christ.
I agree with bluenight7. A christian is one who believes in god worships him and celebrates those special days plus goes 2 church either every sunday or when they can. I pray every night 2 him. I pray before I eat and pray before I go 2 bed. I believe in god I even got married in a church but my married life did not last long because of the other party could not keep her legs shut and would sleep with any guy just 2 get pregnant and then try and tell me i'm the father, which I new I never was. God sometimes have different plans for different people. Not everyone believes in him, but I do. Some people have other beliefs and they can.
What I don't understand is : who can tell "real " from " unreal" Christian ?
I am a Christian because I believe Jesus Christ and I do my best to be a good Christian but I don't know if I belong to " real " Christian but that doesn't matter though for me personally ....

Maybe there is your perceptions of you as a christian, i am happy with my relationship with God, but i admit it could be better.
I agree on bluenight that the real christian are those who accept the Lord Jesus as their personal saviour that redeemed us from the sins of our ancestors.
You can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. A Christian is a follower of Christ. Jesus stressed through his life the importance of doing more than legalism. To be a Christan is to do as Christ would do. It's where your heart is and what you believe, yeah, but moreso it's how you act because of that.
I really like that. When I think about what it means to be a Christian, the definition that sticks with me is 'Christ-like' - being as much like Christ as humanly possible. And whether you believe in Christ in the religious sense or not, he still presents the core of just being what a good human should be. Someone once told me that being a Christian means that people should be able to see Christ IN YOU.
In my eyes, a Christian should be someone who tries to be the good person that Jesus was, and would be willing to sacrifice something to help another. It was never about believing in God, but believing in Jesus and his actions as a human.
Then again, I'm an Atheist in a hypocritical, God-fearing family.
