I'm not sure. It might have been kindergarten. I learned that some people are unnecessarily cruel to children because they can be.

I witnessed my first murder when I was 4. A man was stabbed to death outside my bedroom window. My daughter who is 4 lost her best friend (3yo) to murder early this year :( the childs mothers boyfriend beat him to death.
