Have books had their day? (by james85)
Will books ever have their day? More and more of you are buying e-books, virtual books if you like, both for their convenience and also for their price - they're much cheaper than paper books - so does that mean the writing's on the wall for the printed word after 600-odd years?
Printed books-probably be around for a while longer, at least 25 years, I think
Newspapers-maybe 15 more years
Newspapers-maybe 15 more years
Books will exist as long as the humanity exists , and the need of the written word to communicate information and knowledge and expression . what change are the media , like it has changed over centuries from parchament to papyrus to paper and now to digital media .

Pretty much what Singhpk said....books are still books, no matter how we consume them I think.
Cant believe theyve lasted this long.
Lil tip to reading those online newspapers that give you a free trial....when youre trial is up, clear your cookies and, in a lot of cases, you get another free trial again lol

I own a few e-books. But if I like the book, I have to have the hard copy. I want a real book to read at night. I have to be on devices enough throughout the day. Actually, e-books have hit a bit of a ceiling. Not everybody is down for reading on an electronic device.
