(KFOR/CNN) If someone gave you a check for $975 million, would you turn it down?

That's what Sue Ann Arnall did.

Arnall turned down the check that her ex-husband, oil tycoon Harold Hamm, sent her Monday.

Hamm agreed to pay her that money as part of a divorce settlement last year.

But Arnall, an economist and a lawyer, says she's entitled to more, as she helped Hamm amass his oil fortune.

Hamm is requesting he pay less in the divorce, saying the drop in oil prices has hurt his personal wealth.

I'm thinking this woman is like most women that marries then divorces rich guys. They want all your money

@WalkSoftly: This is why i couldn't be a rich guy. Or I would have her sign a prenuptial so she could get a fair payment
