What was the strangest way you ended a relationship or someone broke up with you? Examples: By text? Changed their number? Never showed up?

A strange phone call:
After dating a man for 18mon, & we were planning on spending a weekend together. He calls & asks "how soon will you be ready?". I replied " in ten minutes, come on over ".
Ten minutes later he calls me back & says "I can't do this".

This gave me chills up & down my spine. I replied " okay talk to you later " & hung up. I called some friends to come over. I called my carrier to change my number & my landlord to change the locks (even though, I never give out a key).
Idk what the problem was that he changed his mind or why I was on edge. But I trust my instincts. And when it's over it's over.
