Joan Rivers has died at 81 after several
days on life support at Mount Sinai
hospital in New York City, her daughter
Melissa revealed Thursday.
“It is with great sadness that I announce
the death of my mother, Joan Rivers,” she
said in a statement. “She passed
peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by
family and close friends.”
Rivers was rushed to Mt. Sinai from a
Manhattan doctor’s office Aug. 28 when
she suffered complications during an
outpatient throat surgery. The “Fashion
Police” star had stopped breathing during
the procedure, according to the New York
Fire Department.""

What a class act she was... Imo

She really was ....once you get beyond the "entertainer" part.

What I mean is....she kinda dogged on people, but it was funny.. .to me anyway. And honest......and stories I heard tday told abt how generous she really was.

@WalkSoftly: She did " degrading humor" like Phyills Diller.. & Rodney Dangerfield they were harder on themselves than anyone else And their " real life", was never as wild as they portrayed..And all were scandal free.
* Rodney Dangerfield, never even drank. It was all an act.

Even though I didn't find her to be funny, she was vibrant and witty. R.I.P.
