July 9th - Internet Doomsday (by Rainbowbutterfly)

9th of July is just around the corner and this has been a month long talk over the web, even some websites have this announcement to all their users / members . They say it could happen for PC & Mac users who haven't taken steps to make sure their systems aren't infected with DNSChanger Malware.

Any thoughts admin?

Any computer savvy here who could explain better ?

Thanks !

I never take it seriously when someone told me last month about it. It's worldwide but how many people are aware of this ? When I checked this afternoon not all websites put an announcement ....

Just a quick update, approximately 304,000 computers world wide (and abt 70,000 in the U.S.) will be affected by the internet blackout on July 9th. Most of those infected have been notified and the problem resolved. Authorities found it impossible to notify all who were infected. Again, to check if your computer is one of the 304,000, visit the aforementioned website :)
