Official Letter of Resignation (by BigPapaRedneck)

This is my official letter of resignation from the dating pool. It's the right time to hang it up because the rejection isn't hurting like it's supposed to. As soon as I can figure out why I can't change my profile I will do so. I'm still gonna be on here. I love talking to everyone. Just done with being emotionally numb.

@BigPapaRedneck: So you're making yourself unavailable because you are numb to rejection?

@sweeterthejuic3: No, it's because I've been rejected often enough here lately that it's making me numb. Remember the lady I was talking about the other night? That went well. Figured if I stop asking I won't hear no anymore. I'm so over this sh1t. Almost 40 and what few relationships I HAVE managed to get going I ended screwing up. He ll with it. Bad part is that I actually WANT IT TO HURT. I wanna feel like it's her loss and not like I'm unworthy of happiness.

@BigPapaRedneck: Well this is gonna sound like I'm just being a b.tch, but here is my honest heartfelt advice...just give up; which it seems like you're trying to do. The reason I say this is because you have too much invested in finding someone RIGHT NOW and the timing may just not be right. Everyone goes through a time where it's a downer being without someone. Relinquish some of the control you're trying to have on the situation, have fun, be confident and it WILL fall into place. My initial purpose for joining the site was for attention because I felt like I got burned by a guy. I had no expectation that I'd find someone that I liked, none of that.... and I got pleasantly surprised by someone. Try to focus on friendship, dont worry about past relationships(quantity or quality) and you'll be alright! :)

@sweeterthejuic3: Well gee your advice is to do what I'm already gonna do. Ok, bet. Done being frustrated anyway. I am tired of being alone but I'm good now. It's not like I'ma or anything.

@sweeterthejuic3: . That last post reminded me that I need to go shoot something. I've cleaned my guns but haven't fired then in over a month. You always make me feel better about myself. You've earned more than just a coffee. Owe ya some pastries too. LOL. A bunch of things hit me at once today but that topped everything.

Well I can get free coffee and pastries 5 days a week. Margaritas and nachos sound way better!

No dont give up, because you shoot down all that try. And the one that gets pushed away could be the right one. And you are here so simply based on that fact alone. You deserve everything you want some things just take longer than others.
