That everything you want in life can happen if you try hard enough.


But, parents are supposed to say that kinda thing...so let the lie continue!

How about the lie "if you just be yourself everyone will like you". It's not true.
Not everyone is gonna like you in life. Instead why not teach them that it's not the end of the world if people dont like you, and how to handle that.
Because if told being you will make you liked, then people dont like them. I bet they'll start to hate themselves. Just some thoughts.

Its how you teach your kids. Do you shelter them and protect them from the world? That is the worse lie of all. As parents we need to prepare them for going out into the world like when they go out on a date or when they go to college. Sheltering them or not telling them anything will usually result in rebellion and problems. Just be close to your kids
