@LaDawn: I've learned through experience, a sh*t ton of research, and a lot of books lol. I've always been fascinated by dreams, so I started learning about them when I was about 11. That's part of the reason I'm going to study psychology. It will give me an added insight, and I can compare what I've learned so far.

Thanks Irish :) thats amazingly cool, i just wanted to get it out, thats what i meant by help. In case ur wondering why its so detailed i was told to write my dreams down (although i never do, but this one is recurring and i dont normally have recurring dreams): im on a boat and there are all the people i have ever met on it too and we are having a really wild party, so wild that i miss the boat when it leaves, but i swim towards it, catch the boat and when i return everyone cheers the thing is i am really young in this dream (maybe 12) and at the end all the girls thank me for the party.

I always write my dreams down. I keep a notebook next to my bed. I can give you a basic insight, but keep in mind this is just my interpretation. First, the young age seems to suggest that you were missing something as a child, and your dream is a way for you to gain that. Water is generally a symbolof rebirth, new beginings and change (Hence why a lot of pregnant women dream about water.) The wild party aspect says to me, that you yearn for a chance to just be free, to live the way you want with no boundaries or rules, or expectations put on you. The fact that all the girls cheer says that you are yearning for acceptance, to be proud of who you are as a man, and for women to appreciate who you are. The boat could be a catalyst for your hopes, desires, and waking dreams. It could symbolize something in life that you want to acheive, or that you want to accomplish. Swimming after it, after you missed it, sounds like your brains way of showing you that it won't be easily accomplished, but well worth the effort. I hope this helps :)
