With ever mile marker I pass,
I drive further from the shadows of my past.
With every winding road and sun-drenched path,
I find my way back:
back to who I am,
back to where I want to be.
Back to where I know I'm free.
Every small town I drive through,
is just another thing to put in my rear view.
So I put my windows down
I let the sunshine
and warm air swirl around me,
and I sing out loud
to every song on the radio,
knowing that I'm free again.
