Just wondering @andres i read in a couple of your most recent posts about
premium features, just explain what your plans are? i personally think
the site is good as it is.

For a while now, many users have been asking for a lot of features that would require additional resources. Within the context of a website, additional resources mean additional costs. As a free ad-supported site that is currently not covering its existing costs with advertising, we obviously cannot add those features without increasing our revenues. Past member Kaotikdad had the clever idea of offering an optional Premium version of the site with those additional features and a monthly subscription fee that would help pay for the additional resources they would require. It made a lot of sense to me because it offered the best of best worlds: for those who loved the site as-is, nothing would change, and for those who wanted those extra features, their subscription fees would help pay for them. It made perfect sense, so since then I've been working on the Premium version of the site which I expect to launch this summer. It will include a ton of really cool features that will make it very worthwhile to any serious or regular Dating.mobi member.

However, I want to stress that it will be completely optional. The site that exists today (that you mentioned is "good as it is"), will continue to function exactly as it is now and will continue to be completely free. So if the Premium features don't tickle your funny bone or you just don't feel like paying a subscription fee, then your experience won't change at all and we'll still be the best free mobile dating site in the world.

Now, this doesn't mean that every feature we add is going to be for the Premium version. Since I started working on the Premium version, we've launched several features for the existing free version of the site, such as the Birthday Today, Verified Mobile Phone, and Karma features. However, most resource-heavy features will have to end up on the Premium version so that the fees cover their costs.

All of this goes with my philosophy of giving our members the freedom to choose what suits them best. We don't like to decide for them nor force them to have to do anything.
