Who has a rational explaination for the Bell Witch... Well, the story goes that Andrew Jackson stayed in the Bell House while in the military during the late 1810s, and when he left, he was quoted as saying "I'd would rather face the entire British Army during the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812, than to stay one more night in that house."

We have a school named after him in my town. He died in Nashville. Sorry useless knowledge lol

There are many stories and movies and theories on it all, all interesting. I have not done a lot of research into, so cannot give much data but I imagine there is a lot of stuff on google lol

It was a family curse imposed on a man and decendents by a witch over a wrong doin to her

Well a more interesting backstory is that Jackson and his men were approaching the property and for some unexplainable reason the carriage got stuck and the horses tried and tried to pull it to no avail, then his ten of his men tried to push the carriage but it was still stuck then a very chilling almost demonic voice said, "General, you may enter, and I will see you tonight" And the Bell Witch honored that statement and one of Jackson's men during that night, pulled out a silver bullet and said that it would get rid of the witch, and all of a sudden the man was literally picked up off the ground and slapped repeatably by an unseen force, and the next day Jackson and his men left enroute to Nashville.

For some reason Im wanting to say that the song "For Whom the Bell Tolls" by:Metallica may have something to do with this storey. . IVE never heard of the storey. . But will be googling soon, :)
