Grandpa,
It's funny to think but:
Seven years have come and gone...
I wonder sometimes if you look down on me...
Are you proud of the young women I've become?
Did you find grandma and hug her for us all?
I was only three when she was taken from this life.
Does she wish she'd had more time?
Are you up there with all your brothers and sisters?
Was it a happy family reunion?
Did you find your mom and dad
And tell them all they'd been missing?

We all still think about you and
We all still love you down here.
And I was just writing to say:
I miss your hugs,
The way your beard tickled my checks.
The way you smelled like peppermints
And how you'd always make me laugh.
And even though I know you're in a better place,
It still hurts when I think of you sometimes.
I'll end this by saying,
No one will ever take your place in my heart.
And one day,
I'll get to throw my arms around you
And hug you one more time.

Dear grandpa: we all loved u even gramma to this day she needs u now even more to this day for she is ready to come to u now n even i understand why we must come to yur land u taught us all well and we have lost along the way the ones we loved most have come with u to stay they were young n we all cried n our own way dear grandpa....tell me bout that good old day
