I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. The entire ips school system has become my worst living nightmare!!!!! I have had SOOOOO many recurring issues with this system. I used to live in a nicer area with a great school in warren township. I moved 3 years ago to a 4 bdrm house. Because it is MUCH bigger then my 3 bdrm townhouse. We need space. Since then progressively things have gotten worse with the school. My daughter a honor roll student And awarded every week for being a outstanding student who used to cry when they had breaks now doesnt wanna even go:( i wont name isssues cause theres a endless list. Ive spoke to every person in charge and got no where. Its stressful because my kids r my life. And they arent getting the education they deserve. Cant move right now. But when i can..what back to a 3 bdrm?? :( thinking home school for now. This isnt fair!!!

I home schooled my son for a few years until i found a good sn school. They may have online school in ur area but u may have to get into it with ur boe and dont quit.

The big thing at the moment here in Louisiana is handing out vouchers that allow qualified students to attend private schools that the state then pays for. While I understand the concept, I think a much better solution is to just FIX public school systems. There are some great public schools here (tho few) and these shud be used as models for the bad ones. But, alas, I'm afraid govt is just going to do wat it does best, which is to just throw money at the problem and expect it to fix itself. Ill get off my soapbox now. :)
