Everyone will soon be required to Confirm their Mobile Phone Number to use the site (by Andres)
Anyone else still seeing users online w/o a verified number? I am, or at least there is no phone symbol by their username.

I was wondering bout that....it is users online too, so they are able access the site, unless the lil phone symbol is now obsolete?
@YouCantFixStupid: I was thinkin that, or maybe a grace period to get it done...was just curious.
Mebbe all they can see is a message telling them they must verify, like I used to get when I was force verified all the time.
@YouCantFixStupid: I bet I know wat it is.....theyre probably now just logging on and seeing that they hafta verify their number.
They should be able to log in and verify there number if they choose to do so
The fake people are still using the site and im actually stunned to see 3 profiles the same pix and 3 different names stunned lol
If a user had an account prior to this requirement going live, and they do not have their mobile phone number verified, then their account will be in READ-ONLY mode. That means they can still use the site to "read" anything (messages, forums, feed, etc.), but they will not be able to contact any user until they verify their phone number. That's why you will still see users without verified phone numbers on the feed accessing different parts of the site, but you will never see a feed listing of a user without a verified phone showing them sending someone a message, writing a blog comment, posting in the forums, etc., because they can't.
New users that register on the site since this requirement went into effect, however, will not actually be registered on the site until they verify their phone number. That means that every single user that joins the site from now on will always have a verified phone number. This also means that our registration process became more complicated and less user-friendly, which will naturally reduce the number of new users on the site, but I have no problem with that if it means creating one of the safest dating sites in the world where you know that behind every user that contacts you, there is a valid phone number tied to them. The other advantage of this requirement is that it ensures we only populate the database with real people's accounts, and not a bunch of fake accounts taking up space and slowing things down for everyone.
Now, will this eliminate 100% of scammers? No, nothing ever will. But this will make a huge difference, and in fact, already has.

@Andycan: Report them and he will take care of them. Set ur restriction to verified only. The new verified phone rule should eliminate a lot of those profiles
