Just a Reminder (by Ram318)
Hope everyone has a great Memorial day. Enjoy your cook outs, parties and friends. But please remember the people who fought and died for our country so we cud have these bbqs and good times. And if u know any WWII vets, do something nice for them this weekend. We're losing more and more of them everday. Thanks for taking a moment to read this and Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
My grandfather was in ww2 he faught the japanese, but he died about ten years ago
@Xxxdonna1: Mine was too. Fought the Nazis in Germany. Great generation of great men
I know three. One being my father. My marine friend. And a army friend. They are joining all three bbq's this weekend.
Both my grandfathers fought in WW2 also my uncle and 3 of my moms uncles. I have several cousins that have served and 2 that are currently serving. I have no greater honor and pride then i do for our military. Proud American here!!!
All who served are amazing and i thank them all. Specially my dad. Luv and miss u.
Dang thread almost made me cry thinkn abt my papa...and I started it lol.
My grandfather also served in WW2, but he passed away in '06. My dad was a Marine in the 50s over in Korea...he's passed also. But WOW I couldn't have asked for a better father. I'm blessed to have my childhood memories of him.
@alynn: That so cool! My grandpa also was n WW2. I was in the Marines and used to love sitn around with older and retired Marines n listening to their stories. Semper Fi to a Marines daughter :)
