I am workin on a 1983 gmc sierra i have got it running but it wont idle but for 10 seconds before it dies anyone have any ideas to what may cause that?

@ dan- few guesses for ya, either needs new carburator(if it has one) or too much carbon build up or it needs new plugs and wires or ur idler/throttle is outta tune. Try those and if none work im no good to ya.lol

Lol thanks it had a dirty carb. I cleaned it and it got worse. Thanks for the ideas master

@dan- as a last resort it may also need to b bored out especially if it the original engine
