Considering tattoos (by James2112)
In another thread I was told to think carefully before getting a tattoo. Well I've wanted one for awhile but have many things that keep stopping me from getting one. One of my biggest problems finding a tattoo is just that I don't know that much about them. So I'm asking what are some of the biggest considerations when choosing a tattoo?
Well, I know for me, with both of mine... The biggest considerations were: 1) finding a reputable parlor, with minimal negative reviews and 2) Choosing a tattoo that meant something to me so that I wouldn't regret it later on down the line.
Hope this helps :)

I agree with irishlove. That and they are forever. Thats why i want one with both my kids names on it.
@IrishLove1988: ty. Anymore suggestions would be helpful. I need as much and I can get.
Ooooh! Another helpful hint. If the tattoo artist can make up a stencil for you, before hand, it will give you the chance to see the *tattoo* on your skin, in the place you want it. This allows you to decide if you like the placement, and the final product :)
Ohhh i definently agree with the stencil, dont settle for the first thing u see, make it unique, something that fits u cuz it is forever and it does set a standard. U want something that u can be proud of....for example....jus my opinion, but to me men having naked women on themselves is tacky, u wouldnt wont ur 4 year old daughter hugging up to that 15 yrs down the line. So u gotta think ahead.
You can always ask a shop about their sterilization procedures. obviously not needles. but things like tables/chairs... and you can research for health code violations.
Location is important too. I lost a job wearing short sleeves when they saw my bracelet
