Sad golden eyes, with liquid green flecks.
Who is that girl, staring me down?
Seeing right through me, to the shadows below.
She calls to me, begging me to let her in.
But I'm afraid, scared to let down the walls, and to be hurt again.
Pain is radiated through her eyes, and her lips.
From head to toe, dripping from her fingertips.
The girl in the mirror, she has seen trauma.
She has known heartbreak, sadness, and drama.
Cascading through life, without ever seeing...
She was alone when her heart started beating.
Who is that girl, that my mirror reflects?

It took me forever, lifetimes, to see...
That girl in the mirror... That girl is me.
