Someone messaged me and I can't respond because the contact restrictions say I need a verified picture. I don't feel like I need to because I was here before verified pictures were needed. I don't think that's fair especially since I've talked to this person before. Why they put the restrictions then message me again idk. I just find it annoying.

@heikeva: true. Well she was worried and told me that she hadn't heard from me in awhile. I had tried to contact her and I couldn't message her.

If she doesnt read these forums maybe u should try to verify a pic real quick or get someone u trust to msg her and explain the situation to her so she'll understand whats going on.

She'll have to wait. I gave her my number she can always text me but she hasn't

In general, the system allows you to ignore a user's Contact Restrictions if they contacted you first.

However, this does NOT apply for the Verified Pic restriction, so even if a user has contacted you first, if they require a Verified Pic, you will need to get Verified before being able to contact them back.

There is a specific reason we do it this way. If a user has set "Verified Pic" in their Contact Restrictions, it means they do not wish to be contacted by any potential fake profiles so they don't get scammed. The only way to really guarantee that is by ensuring they are only contacted by members who have passed the TruPic Photo Verification System. If we did not force that, then fake users who have been contacted by such users would then be able to contact them back and possibly scam them.

It takes literally one minute to write your username on a sheet of paper and take a pic with it, so it's definitely worth it to get Verified.

Yeah I have to go thru a bit more than a minute but i get ya andres. It just annoys me that I had contacted her before and now she has that restriction.

I get that too i really need to get a camera phone but i am a great procrastinator lol
