@OhMan22: It depends on what you want to use it for. I use it to 1) post different pictures, 2) to read past messages, 3) when I search for profiles in my area I can find out if they are still active or not, which I was surprised to see how many never logged back in after the day they signed up, 4) I can see how many times a certain person viewed my profile within the past 30 days. Anyway, you can always try it for a month & see how you like it.

Yessss, I think premium is better than basic because of its added features!! My favorite is being able to see everyone's profile pics next to their posts. It makes the experience a little realer *As I swing swirling hypnotizing circle back and forth very slowly lol jk

Oh yes it is, the forums advanced search feature alone is worth the 10 bucks a mnth to me! But like Tractor said being able to see when someone last logged in is very helpful. And the ability to tell if a sent message was read or not, and knowing how many times someone has viewed ur profile....in a nutshell, YEP it is worth it!

My opinion is obviously "HELL YEAH!", but let's remove opinion from the equation and look at cold, hard facts now that we have had some users be Premium for at least a full month.

I just had a look at the number of profile views received by the first 5 users that upgraded to Premium and who were a member for at least one full month prior to starting their subscription, so that I could compare how many views their profiles received the month before upgrading compared to their first full month after upgrading to Premium:

Username (A/S/L): Views Before -> Views After = % Difference

1) tractorjohn (52/M-F/Arkansas): 139 -> 944 = +579%

2) JLaDawn (38/F-M/Oklahoma): 664 -> 1,687 = +154%

3) clover04 (40/F-M/Texas): 287 -> 1,508 = +425%

4) PartymiesterBaby (18/M-MF/Tennessee): 32 -> 313 = +878%

5) April666 (27/F-M/Michigan): 1,455 -> 3,328 = +129%


That's an average increase in profile views of MORE THAN 5 TIMES thanks to the Premium version! Also, notice how this sample size is quite representational, with both male and female users, straight and bisexual, with ages in their teens, 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's, and located all across the US. All of them (no exceptions) more than DOUBLED their profile views. Notice how the biggest % increases were enjoyed by those who actually had less views prior to upgrading, but even April666 with a whopping 1,455 views in the month prior to her upgrade, increased her views by a monumental 1,873 views, so it also benefits users who already enjoy lots of views.

This is a direct result of all the additional exposure you get on the site as a Premium user. The reason exposure is so important within an online dating context is because finding the right partner is a question of probability, and the more users who view you, the greater the chances that the "one" is among those. Here's a real-world analogy: how likely are you to find the right partner if you stay at home all day vs. going to at least one social function every day? Think about it.

So there you have it, folks, beyond a shadow of a doubt: upgrading to Premium massively increases the number of views your profile gets, and for just 33 cents a day, is worth it for that alone, not to mention the 30+ extra features, benefits, and perks.
