So I pulled apart my xbox and cleaned the cpu and gpu then replaced the thermal paste (thin even layer), put everything back together and tried to boot it up. It gave me 3 lights within 5 seconds. Before I could play a game for about 10 minutes before it would shut down. The only other thing I can think of is replacing the xclamps because they may not be pulling the heat sinks close enough to the cpu and gpu? Any suggestions???

Yeah buy a ps3 :p . Seriously though i hear them xbox's are always breaking and giving the yellow ring of death so maybe switching to a ps3 wouldnt be such a bad idea ? But hey fair play to you for taking apart and trying to fix your xbox by yourself . I wouldnt be able to do that . I would just take a hammer to it and put it out of its misery once and for all . Lmao
