I decided to create this thread after seeing numerous threads about people not liking Nigerians due to distrust, scamming, being black, not being lovable, the size of the penis, Visa status and so on. So, Nigerians, here's an opportunity to explain, express, debate and elaborate on what qualities you posses as a people and as an individual that would be beneficial and build trust towards a foreign/Interracial Relationship and Marriage. Real qualities please. For everyone else, comments are welcomed and encouraged, bashing and taunting isn't. Thank you all! :)

I personaly don't have any problems with nigerians i don't know any on a personal basis. I do have a problem with someone in my life who met a man from nigeria went to visit him for 2 weeks, married him and is trying to help him get citizenship but i have no problem with that if she really loves him the problem is she is sending him money when she has a 16 year old son she should be takeing care of.

I had some Nigerians pm me, some of them ask about work in the states, marriage, or if i would help them getting to the states most told me they loved me in the first pm they send! Some of them were very pushy even after i told them i wasnt interested in any relationship with them,but as soon as i told them i wasnt american and didnt have a american citizinship just was a resident alien with a greencard in the states everyone of them backed off! So , it would be nice to find out from them if that is all , most of Nigerians are looking for? An easy way to get out of their country and to the states??

Yes, l understand these things, I do. I know it's nothing personal against Nigerians and I realize that there's also those who are scamming etc. But what I would really like to know from those Nigerians who are serious about having a relationship abroad, are what qualities from the culture, your upbringing, character, values placed on being a good husband or good wife, raising children and so forth would you be able to provide the foreigner and bring with you into the country of whomever accepts having a relationship/marriage with you.

@JustMeAndYou77: Are you talking about a woman getting married and moving to Nigeria? Instead of the man moving to where the woman is from? To be honest i have never heard of a woman or a man moving from a country like the states or any other one to Nigeria!

I want to say a very big thanks to justyouandme77 for bringing on this topic. Yes i agree with you most people from Nigeria are not what they claim to be especially on the internet and that has really bring about negativity to the genuie ones who really seek true love but my advice to all foriengers, is if you find a Nigerian online, make sure you look out for one of these factors just to be sure you are not talking to a scammer. One, make sure the persons skin colour is not white. Because 99% here are blacks. Dont be too fast to send money or airtickets. Take your time in getting to know eachother before taking it to the next level this are just some of my opinion

Girrrrl....lol Yes, Nigerians moving to the foreigner's country I'd guess. I really cant say because I wouldnt know what that foreigner would rather do. Not really going that far right now lmao

Thank you coinong. I have come to this crossroads myself with this topic so I would really like knowing as well. So please no advice on scamming. People are already cautious. We want to know more about the people and culture, values and how that would benefit a potential husband or wife...children with them and so on.

Hey mind you Nigeria or 9ja as its been nicknamed is a large country with 3 major tribe[the IGBOS,YORUBAS,HAUSA]and more than 270 ethnic groups,more than 720 languages,7 geopolitical zones etc.Go to google or wikipedea and read history on 9ja.
Most of this scams on white is as a result of revenge to BRITISH who came to colonise and exploit our resources,rape the guls,murder the weak.English men/white done harm than good to Nigeria and i think its revenge and avenge of sin of fathers to their son.

Ahhh, I see Chijion and thanks for posting here. Thank you for shedding more light about the various Nigerian people and dialects. Politically, I figured there was more to the scamming than what met my eye. There always is and I understand that. But, as weve seen politics and love really dont mix well because when youre trying to meet and marry a foreigner, youve got your differences and theirs to take into consideration, whether many people want to make light of it or not.
