This is a tricky one. Not every user would react as level-headed as you if they found out they got dumped. Our fear here in revealing to a user that they've been dumped is the possibility of some kind of retaliation or obsession. We've already gotten some complaints from users (mainly women) where they keep getting harassed by the same guy. It's hard to predict how those kinds of "unstable" guys would react if they found out the target of their obsession just "dumped" them (especially if they had any of the targets personal information).

On the other hand, finding out when you've been dumped would allow level-headed users such as yourself to simply move-on and not waste time on a user that won't be receiving any of their messages.

The way it works now (by design) is that a user that has been dumped has absolutely no way of knowing they've been dumped by another user, which is not only easier on their egos, but it less inciting as well which should minimize any potential retribution for the Dump. Eventually, they'll give up when they don't hear back from the other person that dumped them.

That said, I don't know if that's the best solution, but it's the one I felt was "safest" for our members (particularly our female members) when I first designed the site.

However, if the majority of our members feel the same way as you, then we could look into changing this in the future.

@Andres: I have to say I agree with you Andres. Not trying to down my fellow members but there are some people that it would be best if they not know.

No, this shouldn't happen, so let me look into the code and fix this for you. When you Dump someone, you are not meant to see or hear from them ever again in any way, shape, or form (until you undump them).
