So this is off topic but i know most of the population of dating.mobi is older so i'm looking for some good ole advice. So i started college right after highschool. Going for a major in nursing (because all women in my family are nurses and its expected of me). I'm half way through my first semester and i feel so... Bored. Not that my courses aren't of interest to me. I love some of my classes. But i feel like i'm not absorbing the information the way i should. I feel like maybe i just wasn't quite ready or mature enough for college just yet. But i'm all about pleasing my parents. I've made straight As since kindergarten. And not a single score below a 94. I really don't want to let them down. But i also dont want to sit here and waste my time with this. Advice is wholesomely welcomed :/

I would say maybe take some classes from another area of interest. I personally didn't go to college right after high school, but I just started college in January on a 4 year degree plan and I loved the break from high school til now. Now that I have a daughter of my own, I am focusing on her and school right now til she goes to school herself. If the area of interest doesn't work, maybe take a short break while you focus on work! Best of luck.

What would u like 2 do? Just remember it's better to do something u like then spending the rest of ur life miserable. Bc after a while it will take a toll on ur mind n ur adittude which will make the 1s u love suffer ur obviously a smart girl so u can do just about anything u wanted 2. Sh*t join the navy n see the world for 4yrs n the pay 4 2yrs of ur collage. My lil bro even got 2 catch a pirate ship.

I was thnking the same but wouldnt a break from college affect learning to some degree? I mean, some of my classmates say its hard to learn the material from scratch, while coming right out of high school its still fresh on your mind.

Nursing entails with life of people.... Any sily mistake on health of people could lead to dealth..dealth could lead to Legislative action. so if u are not absorbing much info on nursing best choice is to evaluate ur self and choose d best option available for urself... Dont follow others lane, build nd project ur own career. There is no manupulation on health..... Over to u

Do what you love to do. If you spend your life pleasing others, even your parents, you'll never be fully satisfied. Change your major to something you would like more. Or take some time off and explore the wonders of life. If you don't choose a career you can wake up and go to everyday and be absolutely happy with, you'll be miserable. live life the way you want and need to live it :)
