trick question. there are actually several words that also end in gry, but they are now obsolete. while there are several answers to this question ("what being my fav, but the op used a question mark instead of a period) in modern, day to day english, angry and hungry are the only ones. (kinda cheated on this one... an old english ta gave us this riddle)

Or you could twist it, saying "the" is the third word, because the question was the last sentence, and the third word of the question was "the" as in,"what is THE third word?" Am i right? If not i pass.

Well, counting from "ONE" the third is "this" but it should be "these"
